The Black Thai Kitchen is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego County, California, dedicated to serving freshly prepared, authentic Thai meals to individuals experiencing homeless and military veterans in need.
This is the vision of Robert J. Woods Sr (Chef Woods) to present to the community, a simple menu, to bring the very best quality of Thai Food, to those who may not be able to afford, or who may have never tried it.
To transforming their minds and taste buds into the streets of Thailand, an Island of beauty and the most flavorful foods in the world They will taste all the authentic flavors of Thai food.
Our mission
There are many homeless and veterans, throughout San Diego County, that lack the means and opportunity, to receive not only hot meals, but also a verity of dishes that they may not have had the opportunity to have. The mission of The Black Thai Kitchen is to service and nourish the homeless and veterans’ community of San Diego County with delicious, authentic Thai cuisine
Our vision
The Black Thai Kitchen serves two of the most vulnerable populations in San Diego County, the homeless and veterans. The Black Thai Kitchen will be a mobile food outreach program that delivers hot, high-quality Thai meals directly to unhoused individuals and veterans. They will be able to meet the homeless and veterans, at different locations around San Diego County on the street corners where there are.
