In July 2026, Black Thai Kitchen donated 200 hot meals, valued at $2,400, to veterans receiving care at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center in San Diego. This letter recognizes our commitment to serving those who have served us.

The Army Veteran
As an Army veteran, Chef Woods understands the value of sacrifice, teamwork, and serving others. His time in the military instilled a deep sense of discipline and a desire to uplift those around him, a mindset that now fuels every aspect of his community outreach.
The Thai-Inspired Chef
After visiting Thailand and experiencing its incredible culture and hospitality, he became inspired by the way food brings people together. The vibrant flavors and communal dining traditions left a lasting impression.
Today, he combines his passion for authentic Thai cuisine with a commitment to helping people throughout San Diego County. Every dish served from The Black Thai is a continuation of his lifelong mission to serve.
